● Central calibration offsets in mil
Each offset is added to what Dig measures. Leave a box empty for no offset. Jacket and insulation are calibrated separately. Every workstation picks a saved change up within a minute; one that is off or offline takes it when it comes back.
● Admin password
The password every workstation asks for before its calibration can be edited locally. It is turned into a salted hash in this browser — the password itself is never sent to the server, never written to the share and never stored on a PC.
● Application update
Publish a new Dig3.0.exe here and every workstation installs it by itself the next time it starts — or straight away from Calibration › Check for Update on the PC. The build is stored with the archive and verified by its checksum before any PC will install it, so a half-copied file can never become the program.
● Station numbers
Every sample id ends with the tag of the PC that measured it, so 1AQJTQS1R1 came from Scanner 1. Assigning numbers here means two workstations can never mint the same id and overwrite each other's records — and the id itself says which scanner produced it. Each Dig picks its number up within a minute.
● Workstations
Two independent readings per workstation. Set in the app now is what that PC reports it currently holds. Proven by its last archived sample is what it demonstrably measured with, read from the archived record itself. A PC whose sample predates your last change reads not proven until it scans again.
● Change history
Every saved change, who made it and what moved. This is the calibration audit trail — a QC reading can always be traced back to the offsets in force when it was taken.
